ABOUT KRILO JESENICE

Proud history

Krilo Jesenice – this small place is located in the community of Dugi Rat.

The population has long been involved in tourism and shipping. It is situated only 14 km from the second largest town in Croatia and one of the most desirable destinations on the Adriatic – Split.

The place is characterized by covert bays, beaches in front of private houses and inns, as well as boats because of which it is commonly referred to as the town of the Onassis.

The tradition of the old boats “salbunjeri”, as well as of the modern tourist sailboats, is about 300 years old. While in Krilo Jesenice, visit “Trabakule” (large wooden boats), a stone monument (in the honor of Drago Ivanisevic, one of the greatest Croatian poets in the second half of the 20th century), as well as archeological findings (discovered in Turska pec and Ponistrica which testify to the population of this area since the Stone Age).

Like in any other Dalmatian place, Krilo Jesenice organizes various festivities, as well. You can enjoy food, drinks and pleasant music. Sports and active vacation fans can enjoy football, handball, basketball, volleyball, cycling, hiking, diving and numerous other activities.
